SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTYS. ALFREDO VILLAMOR, JR. AND RAUL IBAY TOLENTINO FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 7 April 2015 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 9851, entitled "Clarissa Victoria Umale v. Attys. Alfredo Villamor, Jr. and Raul Ibay Tolentino," to wit:

The Court resolves to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommendations of the Investigating Commissioner in the attached Report dated March 22, 2010 (Annex A) as approved by the Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in IBP Board Resolution No. XIX-2001-517 dated June 27, 2011 (Annex B) and Resolution No. XX-2012-458 dated November 10, 2012 (Annex C). Accordingly, respondents are hereby SUSPENDED from the practice of law for one (1) year for engaging in forum-shopping.

In a Resolution dated 28 September 2015, the Court DENIED WITH FINALITY respondents' motion for reconsideration.
