EXCLUSION OF MAURITANIA FROM THE LIST OF RESTRICTED MARKETS
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Philippine Embassy in Rabat, Morocco. has issued a Certificate of Compliance for the Islamic Republic of Mauritania (Mauritania) with the guarantees on the rights of foreign workers as specified under Section 4 of Republic Act 8042, as amended by Section 3 of Republic Act 10022.
the public is hereby advised that Mauritania is henceforth excluded from the list of social laws which protect the rights of workers, including migrant workers. As such Based on the Certificate of Compliance, Mauritania has existing labor and
restricted markets, and that the processing of the deployment of newly-hired and returning Filipino workers with valid and existing contracts to Mauritania shall now be allowed.
