For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 25 July 2016 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 10117, entitled "In Re: Resolution dated August 14, 2013 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CV No. 94656 v. Atty. Gideon D.V. Mortel," to wit:

Respondent Atty. Gideon D.V. Mortel is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for (1) year for violating Canons 7, 10, 11, 12, and 18, Rules 18.03 and 18.04 of the Code of Professional Responsibility. He is STERNLY WARNED that repetition of the same or similar act shall be dealt with more severely.

Respondent, thru authorized agent, Lolita A. Pizarre, received the resolution on 1 September 2016.
