SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR TWO (2) YEARS OF ATTY. EDGARDO O. ERA

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Decision of the Court En Banc dated 16 July 2013, in Administrative Case No. 6664, entitled "Ferdinand A. Samson v. Atty. Edgardo O. Era," to wit:

WHEREFORE, the Court FINDS and PRONOUNCES Atty. EDGARDO 0. ERA guilty of violating Rule 15.03 of Canon 15, and Canon 17 of the Code of Professional Responsibility; and SUSPENDS him from the practice of law for two years effective upon his receipt of this decision, with a warning that his commission of a similar offense will be dealt with more severely.

Let copies of this decision be included in the personal record of Atty. EDGARDO O. ERA and entered in his file in the Office of the Bar Confidant.

Respondent received the said Decision on 31 July 2013 as stated in his motion for reconsideration thereof. In a Resolution dated 8 October 2013, the Court further DENIED with FINALITY the said motion for reconsideration there being no substantial matter raised to warrant the reversal of the questioned Decision.
