SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF ATTY. JANUARIO C. FLORES, REVOCATION OF HIS NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM REAPPOINTMENT AS NOTARY PUBLIC FOR A PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the decision of the Court EN BANC dated 4 April 2007, in Administrative Case No. 5426 entitled, "Chita Pantoja-Mumar vs. Atty. Januario C. Flores", to wit:

"WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Januario C. Flores is GUILTY of violating the Notarial Law and Code of Professional Responsibility, His notarial commission if still existing, is hereby REVOKED and he is DISQUALIFIED from reappointment as Notary Public for a period of two (2) years. He is, likewise, SUSPENDED from the practice of law for a period of one (1) year, effective immediately. He is DIRECTED to report the date of receipt of this Decision to enable this Court to determine when his suspension shall have take effect".

The decision was received by the respondent on 8 June 2007 . To date no motion for reconsideration has been filed by the respondent.
