SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS OF ATTY. JOSEPH ADOR A. RAMOS

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution of the First Division dated June 15, 2015 in Administrative Case No. 9317 [formerly CBD Case No. 12-3615] (Adelia V. Quiachon vs. Atty Joseph AdorA. Ramos), to wit:

Acting on the letter dated November 26, 2014 of respondent informing the Court that upon receipt of the Resolution dated June 4, 2014 suspending him from the practice of law for six (6) months, on July 4, 2014, he desisted from his practice of law by not appearing in any court hearing or signing any pleading in all the Regional Trial Courts and Municipal Trial Courts in the entire Province of Capiz and Roxas City where he handled certain cases, and that he undertakes to comply with the order of the Court to serve said suspension from July 4, 2014 to January 4, 2015, the Court resolves:

(1) to NOTE (a). the aforesaid letter; (b) the respondent's motion to lift order of suspension dated January 28, 2015 praying that the order of his suspension from the practice of law be now lifted and that he be allowed to practice his legal profession as he has fully served the six-month suspension from July 4, 2014 to January 4, 2015, and submitting therewith the certifications from the lower courts of Roxas, Capiz and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines' Capiz Chapter, all affirming that respondent has not appeared as counsel before the courts of Roxas, Capiz from July 4, 2014 to January 4, 2015; and (c) the Report and Recommendation dated February 23, 2015 of the Office of the Bar Confidant;

(2) to LIFT the order of suspension imposed on the respondent from the practice of law for six (6) months, as mandated in the Resolution dated June 4, 2014; and

(3) to ALLOW the respondent to RESUME his practice of law.
