SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS OF ATTY. PLARIDEL C. NAVA II

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Resolution of the Second Division dated 06 February 2013 in Administrative Case No. 6433 entitled "Atty. Ofelia D. Artuz vs. Atty. Plaridel C. Nava II" to wit:

The Court resolves to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommendations of the Investigating Commissioner in the attached Report dated 11 April 2006 (Annex "A"), as approved with modification by the Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in the IBP Board Resolution No. XVII-2006-454 dated 8 September 2006 (Annex "B") and affirmed with modification by the Office of the Bar Confidant in its Report dated 20 January 2012 (Annex "C"). Accordingly, the Court SUSPENDS respondent Atty. Plaridel C. Nava II from the practice of law for six (6) months for grave misconduct with warning that a repetition of the same or similar act shall be dealt with more severely.

In a Resolution dated 19 June 2013, the Court DENIED with FINALITY the respondent's motion for reconsideration for lack of merit. Further, in a Resolution dated 11 November 2013, the Court GRANTED respondent's request and DECLARED the suspension from the practice of law to commence on 01 December 2013.
