DIRECTING THE ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION OF ATTYS. MA. NENA G. GERMAN AND TERESITA A. TUAZON TO THE MASTER OF ADMINISTRATIVE LAW AND POLICY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY IN AUSTRALIA UNDER THE PAHRDF-SC PARTNERING AGREEMENT

Whereas, the Philippine-Australia Human Resource Development Facility (PAHRDF) has chosen the Supreme Court (SC) as one of its targeted institutions in the Philippines to be a recipient of both short-term and long-term scholarships and training programs offered by the Australian government through the PAHRDF which are primarily aimed at improving the capacity of the SC to help alleviate poverty and contribute towards a sustainable and equitable development;

Whereas, pursuant to the Partnering Agreement entered into by the SC and the PAHRDF, the latter agreed to provide specific funding support to the approved short-term and long-term scholarships and trainings, and the SC, to support the implementation of these activities under the terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement;

Whereas, one of the approved long-term scholarships for School Year (SY) 2007-2008 for Capacity Building in Management of Court Operations is a Master of Administrative Law and Policy at the University of Sydney in Australia, and to which the following Court employees were accepted for the period of scholarships opposite their names:

Whereas, prior to their departure to Australia, the PAHRDF likewise requires that the aforenamed employees attend the pre-departure briefing at Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City, on November 14-15, 2006;

NOW, THEREFORE, authority is hereby granted to the aforenamed employees to attend the above long-term training course in Australia, including the pre-departure briefing on November 14-15, 2006 at Marco Polo Hotel in Davao City, on OFFICIAL TIME.

Any communication relating to the course should be addressed to Atty. Eden T. Candelaria, Deputy Clerk of Court and Chief Administrative Officer, and Chairperson, Personnel Development Committee (PDC).
