SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. CARNELL S. VALDEZ

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 7 June 2017 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 11009, entitled "Teodorico S. Adarna v. Atty. Carnell S. Valdez and Atty. Ramon Miguelito P. Valdez," to wit:

Acting on the compliance dated 3 April 2017 of respondent Atty. Carnell S. Valdez with the Resolution dated 15 February 2017 (which required respondent to submit certifications from the Office of the Executive Judge of the Court where he practices his legal profession and from the IBP Local Chapter where he is affiliated, affirming that he has ceased and desisted from the practice of law and has not appeared in any court from 8 June 2016 to 8 December 2016), submitting the required certifications from the Regional Trial Court, Pasay City and the IBP Manila II Chapter, both affirming that he has ceased and desisted from the practice of law during the period of suspension from 8 June 2016 to 8 December 2016, and considering that respondent has fully served the order of suspension as mandated in the Resolution dated 20 April 2016 from 8 June 2016 to 8 December 2016, the Court resolves to LIFT the order of suspension from the practice of law imposed upon respondent Atty. Carnell S. Valdez, and to ALLOW him to RESUME his practice of law.

The Court NOTES the Report and Recommendation dated 19 April 2017 of the Office of the Bar Confidant.
