SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. JAMES BENEDICT C. FLORIDO
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 10 October 2016 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 5736, entitled "Rural Bank of Calape, Inc. [RBCI], Bohol v. Atty. James Benedict C. Florido," to wit:
It appearing from the records that respondent has fully served the penalty of suspension from the practice of law for one (1) year, as mandated in the Decision dated 18 June 2010 and that respondent submitted certifications from the Regional Trial Court, Cebu City and IBP Cebu Chapter affirming that he has ceased and desisted from the practice of law from 16 July 2010 to 16 July 2011, the Court resolves to LIFT the order of suspension imposed upon respondent Atty. James Benedict C. Florido for one (1) year, and to ALLOW him to resume his practice of law.
The Court NOTES the Report and Recommendation dated 4 August 2016 of the Office of the Bar Confidant.
