SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. RICHARD V. FUNK

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution of the Third Division dated 7 September 2015 in Administrative Case No. 9094, entitled "Santos Ventura Hocorma Foundation Inc., represented by Gabriel H. Abad vs. Atty. Richard V. Funk," to wit:

GRANT respondent's urgent ex-parte motion for an extension of thirty (30) days from May 6, 2015 within which to file compliance with the Court's Order dated March 9, 2015; and

NOTE said compliance submitting a sworn statement that respondent has ceased and desisted from the practice of law from August 30, 2012 to January 7, 2014, and in support thereof submitting certifications from the Las Pi ñas Bar Association and the different courts in Makati City affirming that he ceased and desisted from the practice of law and has not appeared in court as counsel from August 30, 2012 to January 7, 2014.

Acting on the Report and Recommendation dated August 5, 2015 of the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) on the aforementioned compliance, and considering that respondent has fully complied with the Decision of August 15, 2012 and Resolution of October 8, 2014, the Court, upon the recommendation of the OBC, further resolves to LIFT the suspension order of respondent and ALLOW him to RESUME his Jaw practice.
