SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF ATTY. ORLANDO N. DE CASTRO, JR.
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the pertinent portion of the Resolution of the Second Division dated 14 October 2013, in Administrative Case No. 6702, entitled "Ramon Llamas Arcinue v. Atty. Orlando N. De Castro, Jr.," to wit:
The Court RESOLVES to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommendations of the Investigating Commissioner in the attached Report dated 31 January 2011 (Annex "A") as approved by the Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in IBP Board Resolution No. XX-2013-46 dated 3 January 2013. Accordingly, the Court SUSPENDS Atty. Orlando N. De Castro, Jr. from practice of law for one (1) year for filing frivolous appeal to the Court of Appeals without paying the required docket/filing fees, and for his repeated failure to comply with the Supreme Court resolutions.
