SUBJECT: LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. JOJO S. VIJIGA

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 3 October 2018 of the Special First Division in Administrative Case No. 11828, entitled "Spouses Vicente and Precywinda Gimena vs. Atty. Jojo S. Vijiga," to wit:

"A.C. No. 11828 (Spouses Vicente and Percywinda Gimena vs. Atty. Jojo S. Vijiga). - Considering the respondent's motion to lift suspension order dated August 15, 2018 (with enclosures), attaching certifications from the lower courts of Caloocan City;. Malabon City; Navotas City; Quezon City; Manila City; Angeles City, Pampanga; Malolos City, Bulacan; Paniqui, Tarlac; and Baliwag, Bulacan, all affirming that respondent did not appear in any hearing nor filed any pleading in all his cases pending before said courts; and Certification dated August 13, 2018 from the IBP-Caloocan- Malabon-Navotas (CALMANA) Chapter, affirming that respondent has not engaged into private practice beginning January 30, 2018 to August 13, 2018, the Court resolves:

(1) to GRANT the aforesaid motion to lift suspension; and

(2) to NOTE the compliance dated January 31, 2018 of respondent Atty. Jojo S. Vijiga informing the Court that he received the copy of the Decision dated November 22, 2017 on January 30, 2018.

The Court further resolves:

(1) to LIFT the order of suspension meted against respondent Atty. Jojo S. Vijiga; and

(2) to ALLOW him to IMMEDIATELY RESUME his practice of law.
