SUBJECT: SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF ATTY. CARLO GOMEZ

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Resolution of the Third Division dated 19 March 2012, in A. C. No. 9154, entitled "Aurora D. Cerdan vs. Atty. Carlo Gomez," to wit:

WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Carlo Gomez is hereby declared GUILTY of violation of Canon 16 of the Code of Professional Responsibility and is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for a period of one (1) year effective upon receipt of this Resolution, with a WARNING that a repetition of the same or similar acts will be dealt with severely.

In a Resolution dated 15 August 2012, the Court DENIED the respondent's motion for reconsideration thereof for having been filed out of time.
