SUBJECT: LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. GEMMA ARMI M. DELA CRUZ

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 27 June 2018 of the Special Second Division in Administrative Case No. 11043, entitled "Liang Fuji v. Atty. Gemma Armi M. Dela Cruz," to wit:

The Court NOTES respondent's compliance with the Resolution dated 21 February 2018 submitting (1) a certification from the IBP Northern Samar Chapter confirming that respondent has ceased and desisted from the practice of law and has not appeared as counsel from 9 May 2017 to 9 August 2017, and (2) a certificate of good moral character, with prayer that an order be issued lifting the suspension to enable respondent to resume the practice of law.

Considering the foregoing compliance of respondent with the Resolution dated 21 February 2018 (not 19 February 2018), and it appearing from the records and documents submitted that respondent has served the order of her suspension mandated in the Resolution dated 8 March 2017, the Court resolves to LIFT the Order of Suspension imposed upon respondent Atty. Gemma Armi M. Dela Cruz and ALLOW her to RESUME her practice of law.
