SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF ATTY. ELEONOR MARAVILLA-ONA

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution of the First Division dated" 15 September 2014 in Administrative Case No. 10107 (Formerly CBD Case No. 10-2733) entitled "Beatrice C. Yatco, represented by her Attorney-ln-Fact Marivic Yatco vs. Atty. Eleonor Maravilla-Ona," to wit:

The Court RESOLVES to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and Recommendation of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in the attached Resolution dated February 13, 2013. Accordingly, the Court finds respondent Atty. Eleonor Maravilla-Ona GUILTY of serious misconduct and violating Canon 1, Rule 1.01 of the Code of Professional Responsibility and is, thus, meted with the penalty of SUSPENSION for a period of one (1) year.
