SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. ANNA SHIELLA C. FRANCIA-SAN DIEGO FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 21 June 2017 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 9638, entitled "Geraldine Therese P. Lim and Mary Pamela S. Gatila v. Atty. Anna Sheilla C. Francia-San Diego," to wit:

The Court further resolves, to ADOPT and APPROVE the Notice of Resolution No. XXI-2015-152 dated February 20, 2015 and the Notice of Resolution No. XXII-2016-528 dated September 24, 2016 of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines' Board of Governors (Annexes A . & B). Accordingly, respondent Atty. Anna Sheilla C. Francia-San Diego is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for one (1) year for being guilty of gross negligence, dishonest and deceitful conduct in violation of the Code of Professional Responsibility effective from notice hereof.

In a Resolution dated 14 September 2017, the Court further DENIED with FINALITY the motion for reconsideration filed by respondent considering that no substantial matter has been, raised therein to warrant a modification of this Court's Resolution. In the Motion for Reconsideration dated 20 July 2017, respondent alleged that she received a copy of the Resolution dated 21 June. 2017 on 18 July 2017.
