SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. CONSTANTINO S. DELA CRUZ

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 12 March 2018 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 10959, entitled "Amelia B. Cruz v. Atty. Constantino S. Dela Cruz," to wit:

The Court resolves:

(1) to GRANT the motion of respondent, through counsel, to lift suspension (with enclosures) stating that respondent was notified on September 30, 2016 of the Resolution dated August 17, 2016, suspending him from the practice of law for six months, and that beginning September 31, 2016, he desisted from the practice of law and never appeared in any court nor attended any proceedings in any quasi-judicial body nor signed or filed any pleadings thereto, and attaching thereto certifications from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines' Rizal Chapter, Regional Trial Courts of Baloc, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija, Branch 89; Las Pinas City, Branch 200; Quezon City, Branch 86; and Makati City, Branches 57, 142 and 144; and Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 34, Quezon City, all affirming that respondent has not engaged in the practice of law nor appeared in said courts as counsel since September 31, 2016; and

(2) to consider as LIFTED the respondent's suspension from the practice of law and to ALLOW said respondent to RESUME his practice of law.

The Report and Recommendation dated February 26, 2018 of the Office of the Bar Confidant is NOTED.
