SUBJECT ATTENDANCE AT THE SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON STRENGTHENING THE LEGAL PROTECTION OF CHILDREN

The Philippine Judicial Academy (PhilJA), the Ateneo Human Rights Center, the Department of Justice, the Save the Children Fund-UK, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the USAID/Asia Foundation and the International Labor Organization-International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labor (ILO-IPEC) will jointly conduct a Seminar-Workshop on "Strengthening the Legal Protection of Children" for, among others, Judges and Social Welfare Officers of the Regional Trial Courts handling cases falling within the jurisdiction of the Family Courts in Regions 1, 2 and 3. The Seminar-Workshop shall be held on October 7 and 8, 1999 at the Concorde Hotel, Legarda Road, Baguio City.

The following Judges and Social Welfare Officers of the Regional Trial Courts in Regions 1, 2 and 3 shall attend the live-in Seminar-Workshop at the Concorde Hotel:

Participants who are not from Baguio City can already check in at the Concorde Hotel m the afternoon of Wednesday, October 6 1999 All participants shall check out in the morning of Saturday October 9, 1999.

All travel expenses properly documented shall be reimbursed by the Ateneo Human Rights Center. Attendance in the Seminar-Workshop is mandatory and shall be on official business. Formal business attire is required. No companions and no substitution of participants shall be allowed.

Registration of participants shall start at 7:30 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, October 7, 1999.
