SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. ROBERT PENEYRA FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 14 October 2015 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 6319, entitled "Atty. Eustaquio Z. Gacott, Jr., et al. v. Atty. Robert Peneyra," to wit:

WHEREFORE, this court FINDS and PRONOUNCES respondent Atty. Robert Peneyra guilty of violating Canon 15, Rule 15.03 of the Code of Professional Responsibility and SUSPENDS him from the practice of law for one (1) year effective upon receipt of this Resolution, with a warning that his commission of a similar offense will be dealt with more severely.

In a Resolution dated 20 June 2016, the Court DENIED with FINALITY respondent's motion for reconsideration for lack of substantial merit. Respondent received the Resolution dated 14 October 2015 on 19 January 2016.
