For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Decision dated 12 July 2017 of the Third Division in Administrative Case No. 10580, entitled "Spouses Geraldy and Lilibeth Victory v. Atty. Marian Jo S. Mercado," to wit:

WHEREFORE, premises considered, We resolve to SUSPEND Atty. Marian Jo S. Mercado from the practice of law for one (1) year to commence immediately from the receipt of this Decision, with a WARNING that a repetition of the same or similar offense will warrant a more severe penalty.

Per Registry Return Receipt No. 29S21, the respondent received a copy of the Decision dated 12 July 2017 on 2 October 2017.
