SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. GABRIEL QUEMADO FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS AND REVOCATION OF HIS NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM REAPPOINTMENT AS NOTARY PUBLIC FOR TWO (2) YEARS
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 3 April 2017 of the Third Division in Administrative Case No. 10264, entitled "Minerva T. Correa v. Atty. Gabriel Quemado," to wit:
WHEREFORE, premises considered, the Court RESOLVES to:
1. REVOKE respondent Atty. Gabriel Quemado's notarial commission for breach of the Notarial Law and DISQUALIFY him from reappointment as notary public for a period of two years; and
2. SUSPEND him from the practice of law for a period of six months effective immediately for violation of the Code of Professional Responsibility. He is further WARNED that a repetition of the same or similar acts shall be dealt with more severely.
As shown in the Registry Return Receipt No. 19534, respondent received the aforesaid Resolution, without indicating the date of his receipt.
