SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR TWO (2) YEARS OF ATTY. ARTURO B. CEFRA AND REVOCATION OF HIS INCUMBENT NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND PERPETUAL DISQUALIFICATION FROM BEING COMMISSIONED AS A NOTARY PUBLIC

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Resolution of the Supreme Court En Banc dated 10 February 2015 in Administrative Case No. 5482 entitled "Jimmy Anudon and Juanita Anudon vs. Atty. Arturo B. Cefra" to wit:

WHEREFORE, this court finds respondent Atty. Arturo B. Cefra GUILTY of notarizing the Deed of Sale dated August 12, 1998 in the absence of the affiants, as well as failure to comply with an order from this court. Accordingly, this court SUSPENDS him from the practice of law for two (2) years, REVOKES his incumbent notarial commission, if any, and PERPETUALLY DISQUALIFIES him from being commissioned as a notary public. Respondent is also STERNLY WARNED that more severe penalties will be imposed for any further breach of the Canon in the Code of Professional Responsibility.

Respondent, thru agent Marylou M. Cefra, received on 26 March 2015 the said Resolution, as shown in the Registry Return Receipt No. 18714. Respondent did not file a motion for reconsideration.
