SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF ATTY. REGINO B. TAMBAGO AND REVOCATION OF HIS NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND PERPETUAL DISQUALIFICATION FROM REAPPOINTMENT AS NOTARY PUBLIC

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder. is the dispositive portion of the Resolution of the First Division dated 12 February 2008; in Administrative Case No. 5281 entitled, "Manuel L. Lee vs. Atty. Regino B. Tambago", to wit:

"WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Regino B. Tambago is hereby found guilty of professional misconduct. He violated (1) the Lawyers Oath; (2) Rule 138 of the Rules of Court; (30) Canon 1 and Rule 1.01 of the Code of Professional Responsibility; (4) Art. 806 of the Civil Code and (5) the provisions of the old Notarial Law.

Atty. Regino B. Tambago is hereby SUSPENDED from the practice of law for one year and his notarial commission REVOKED. Because he has not lived up to the trustworthiness expected of him as a notary public and as an officer of the court, he is PERPETUALLY DISQUALIFIED from, reappointment as a notary public."

In the Resolution dated 18 June 2008, the Court DENIED WITH FINALITY the very urgent motion for reconsideration of Atty. Regino B. Tambago. Respondent received the resolution dated 18 June 2008 on 7 August 2008 per Registry Return Receipt No 12318.
