SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS OF ATTY. ESTRELLA 0. LAYSA
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is a portion of the Resolution of the First Division dated 18 January 2012, in Administrative Case No. 8386 [formerly CBD Case No. 07-2121] (Eva G. Angquico vs. Atty. Estrella O. Laysa), to wit:
"The Court further resolves to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of facts, conclusions of law, and recommendations of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in the attached Resolution No.XVII-2008-627 (Annex A). Accordingly, the respondent is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for SIX (6) MONTHS for deceit, malpractice and gross misconduct in office in violation of the Code of Professional Responsibility."
