SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR TWO (2) YEARS OF ATTY. RENATO L. GONZALES AND PERMANENTLY BARRED FROM BEING COMMISSIONED AS NOTARY PUBLIC

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Decision of the First Division dated August 23, 2007, in Administrative Case No. 6634 entitled, "Tan Tiong Bio a.k.a. Henry Tan vs. Atty. Renato L. Gonzales", to wit:

"WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Renato L. Gonzales is PERMANENTLY BARRED from being commissioned as Notary Public. He is furthermore SUSPENDED from the practice of law for a period of two (2) years, effective upon receipt of a copy of this Decision."

Copy of the decision was received by respondent on September 6, 2007 per Registry Return Receipt No. 22273. Respondent's Motion for Reconsideration was DENIED with FINALITY in a resolution dated December 10,2007.
