TO: ALL TRIAL COURT JUDGES AND PERSONNEL

SUBJECT: COURT DUTY ON 26, 27 AND 28 DECEMBER 2001

Under Proclamation No. 129 of the Office of the President dated 5 December 2001, all employees of the Government are not required to report for work on 26, 27 and 28 December 2001 except as therein provided.

Pursuant to the said Proclamation, officials and employees of the Judiciary need not report for work on 26 to 28 December 2001.

However, considering that petitions for bail and other -urgent matters may be filed in court on those dates, the Executive Judges shall assign Judges of the Municipal Trial Courts and Municipal Circuit Trial Courts within their respective administrative areas to be on duty on those dates to act primarily on such matters. They shall be assisted by a. skeletal force from their staff.

The Executive Judges in multiple-sala Regional Trial Courts, Metropolitan Trial Courts, and Municipal Trial Courts in Cities shall assign a judge in each court who shall be on duty on the aforementioned dates.

All Executive Judges of Regional Trial Courts shall remain on duty on said dates. They may, however, assign the Vice Executive Judges, if any, on rotation basis.

The Offices of the Clerks of Court shall likewise maintain a skeletal force to provide regular services to the public: on,the aforementioned dates.

A separate Circular has been issued for Supreme Court, employees who must report for work on 26 to 28 December 2001. The Presiding Justices of the Court of Appeals and the Sandiganbayan shall determine who of their personnel shall report for work on the aforementioned dates.

The Office of the Court Administrator, with the assistance of the Public Information Office, shall implement this Administrative Circular, which shall forthwith be published in the newspaper of genera circulation.
