DIRECTING THE VARIOUS OFFICES UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE COURT ADMINISTRATOR TO PREPARE STATISTICAL DATA FOR USE IN THE EXHIBIT DURING THE CELEBRATION OF THE 2008 NATIONAL STATISTICS MONTH

WHEREAS , the National Statistics Month (NSM) was first observed in 1990 pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 647 signed by then President C.orazon C. Aquino on September 20. 1990. Declaring the Month of October of every Year as the National Statistics Month;

WHEREAS , the NSM celebration aims to:

Promote, enhance and instil! awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of society; and

Elicit the cooperation and support of the general public in upgrading the quality and standards of statistics in the country;

WHEREAS , the Supreme Court of the Philippines joins the countn in the commemoration of the National Statistics Month;

WHEREAS , the STATISTICAL REPORTS DIVISION (SRO) of the Court Management Office is directed to launch an exhibit for the celebration of the National Statistics Month;

WHEREAS , to carry out this activity., the SRI) needs to gather monthly data from the different OCA offices for the period July 2007 to June 2008, to wit:

DCA Reuben P. dela Cruz DCA Antonio H. Dujua DCA Nimfa C. Vilchez DCA Edwin A. Villasor Number of requests for extension of time to decide cases Hied, granted and denied in the first and second level courts, inhibitions of judges, transfer of venue and other miscellaneous matters

Financial Management Office Collections in the first and second level courts as to fund type (JDF. SAJ. Sheriffs Trust Fund, andFiduciary Fund)

Legal Office Number of filed and disposed administrative- cases in the first and second level courts

Leave Division, Office of Administrative Services (OAS) Number of tardiness and absences of personnel in the first and second level courts by court type

Personnel Division, OAS Number of male and female employees in the first and second level courts and those locally-funded employees detailed in the court

Records Division, OAS Number of mails received and sent (ordinary and registered) from and for the first and second level courts

Employees Welfare and Benefirs Division, OAS Number of judges and court personnel who retired both compulsory nnd optional, gratuity, death - natural and other causes in the first and second level courts

Court Management Office (CMO) Number of designated special courts, newly-created courts, MTOs-'MCTCs converted into MTCCs and judges designated as acting/assisting judges

Fiscal Monitoring Division CMO Number of financial audits conducted in the first and second level courts with and without adverse findings

Planning Division CMO Number of Administrative Orders. Administrative Circulars, OCA Circulars and other issuances

NOW, THEREFORE, the (a) Statistical Reports Division - CMO is hereby directed to launch an exhibit for the celebration of the National Statistics Monlh: and (b) the various offices under the Office of the Court Administrator arc hcivhy directed to gather monthly statistical data for the period July 2007 to June 2008 for tise in the exhibit during the celebration of the 2008 National Statistics Monlh to be submitted to the Statistical Reports Division. Court Management Office not later than September 22. 2008.
