RE :ATTENDANCE IN THE MULTI-SECTORAL CONSULTATION WORKSHOP ON THE ACTION PROGRAM FOR JUDICIAL REFORM

As part of the Supreme Court's judicial reform efforts, a series of Multi-sectoral Consultation Workshops on the Action Program for Judicial Reform (APJR), involving officers and employees of the courts and members of the civil society, will be held between 16 May to 15 June 2001.

The APJR, which outlines the reform efforts to be undertaken by the Judiciary from 2001-2006, is due for finalization. The series of workshops, as a significant step towards this effort, is aimed at getting inputs from the Court's internal and external stakeholders to make the APJR responsive to their needs. The consultations seek to elicit the following:

Inputs, recommendations, issues involving the APJR

Recommendations for smooth implementation of the reforms

Recommendations on how best the implementation of the reforms will be monitored -

The workshop for the Court of Appeals, Court of Tax Appeals, Sandiganbayan and NCR Lower Courts officials and personnel is scheduled on 22 May 2001 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the 3rd Floor, SC Centennial Building. The activity shall be participated in by the following officials and personnel:
