SUBJECT : DISBARMENT OF ATTY. REX A. RESUENA

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Decision dated 26 January 2016 of the Court En Banc in Administrative Case No. 8723, entitled "Gregory Fabay v. Atty. Rex A. Resuena," to wit:

WHEREFORE, Atty. Rex A. Resuena is found GUILTY of malpractice as a notary public and of violating the lawyer's oath as well as Rule 1.01, Canon 1 of the Code of Professional Responsibility. Accordingly, he is DISBARRED from the practice of law and likewise PERPETUALLY DISQUALIFIED from being commissioned as a notary public.

In a Resolution dated 2 August 2016, the Court further DENIED respondent's motion for reconsideration for lack of merit. Respondent, thru authorized representative, received the decision on 16 September 2016.
