SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. MERCEDES C. BUHAYANG-MARGALLO
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 3 April 2018 of the Court En Banc in Administrative Case No. 10537, entitled "Reynaldo G. Ramirez v. Atty. Mercedes Buhayang-Margallo," to wit:
The Court Resolved to
(a) NOTE the Motion for Early Resolution dated December 11, 2017 filed by respondent Atty. Mercedes C. Buhayang-Margallo;
(b) CONSIDER as SERVED the resolution dated November 7, 2017 addressed to complainant Reynaldo G. Ramirez, Block 14, Sityo Sto. Nino, Barangay Biliran, Binangonan, Rizal, which resolution was returned unserved with notation on the letter-envelope 'RTS-Unknown'; and
(c) NOTE the Compliance with Second Humble Request for the Lifting of Suspension dated January 29, 2018 filed by respondent Atty. Buhayang-Margallo, submitting the Certification dated January 22, 2018 issued by Integrated Bar of the Philippines Mandaluyong Chapter in compliance with the resolution dated November 7, 2017.
The Court Resolved, upon the recommendation of the Office of the Bar Confidant, to
(a) LIFT the order of suspension of respondent Atty. Buhayang-Margallo from the practice of law; and
(b) ALLOW the said respondent to resume her practice of law.
