SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF ATTY. CLEMENCIO SABITSANA, JR.

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Decision of the Second Division dated 11 April 2012 in Administrative Case No. 5098, entitled "Josefina M. Aninon vs. Atty. Clemencio Sabitsana, Jr.," to wit:

"WHEREFORE, premises considered, the Court resolves to ADOPT the findings and recommendations of the Commission on Bar Discipline of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. Atty. Clemencio C. Sabitsana, Jr. is found GUILTY of misconduct for representing conflicting interests in violation of Rule 15.03, Canon 15 of the Code of Professional Responsibility. He is hereby SUSPENDED for one (1) year from the practice of law."

In a Resolution dated 5 September 2012, the Court DENIED the respondent's motion for reconsideration for lack of merit.
