SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. DAN1LO C. EMELO FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR TWO (2) YEARS AND REVOCATION OF HIS NOTARIAL COMMISSION AND PERPETUAL DISQUALIFICATION FROM BEING COMMISSIONED AS NOTARY PUBLIC

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Decision dated 26 September 2017 of the Court En Banc in Administrative Case No. 8968, entitled "Ma. Vilma F. Maniquiz v. Atty. Danilo C. Emelo," to wit:

WHEREFORE, IN VIEW OF THE FOREGOING, the Court SUSPENDS Atty. Danilo C. Emelo from the practice of law for a period of two (2) years, REVOKES his notarial commission, if presently commissioned, and PERPETUALLY DISQUALIFIES him from being commissioned as a notary public. The Court further WARNS him that a repetition of the same or similar offense shall be dealt with more severely.

Let copies of this decision be included in the personal records of Atty. Danilo C. Emelo and entered in his file in the Office of the Bar Confidant.

In a Resolution dated 30 January 2018, the Court DENIED WITH FINALITY the respondent's Motion for Reconsideration as the basic issues raised therein have been passed upon by this Court and no substantial argument were presented to warrant the reversal of the questioned Decision. The Court further CONSIDERED AS SERVED the copy of the Decision dated 26 September 2017 addressed to respondent at the Office of the City Prosecutor, Pasay City which was returned unserved with notation on the envelope "RTS-Moved Out".
