AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF SPECIAL COURT JUDGES TO THE SEMINAR-WORKSHOP FOR JUDGES ON EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS AND FORCED DISAPPEARANCES

The Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA), in partnership vvith the Commission on Human Rights, will conduct a Seminar-Workshop for Judges on Extrajudieial Killings and Forced Disappearances (Batch 1) on 7 & 8 May 2007, at the Manila Pavilion Hotel, United Nations Avenue, Ermita, Manila.

The following Special Court Judges designated to hear, try and decide cases involving extrajudieial killings are required to attend and participate in this activity:

The attendance of the participants in this seminar-workshop shall be MANDATORY and on OFFICIAL TIME for NCJR participants and OFFICIAL BUSINESS for Regions I and II participants. Travel expenses to and from the seminar site will be reimbursable after submission of the required documents.

The participating Judges should see to it that their respective court calendars are properly managed and the parties are notified in advance of any cancelled hearings.

Formal business attire is required. No companion and substitution of participants shall be allowed.
