SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. EDGAR R. NAVALES FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Decision dated 08 June 2016 of the First Division in Administrative Case No. 10465, entitled "Spouses Lamberto V. Eustaquio and Gloria J. Eustaquio v. Atty. Edgar R. Navales," to wit:

WHEREFORE , respondent Atty. Edgar R. Navales is found GUILTY of violating Section 27, Rule 138 of the Rules of Court. Accordingly, he is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for an additional period of six (6) months from his original six (6)-month suspension, totaling one (1) year from service of this Decision, with a STERN WARNING that a repetition of the same or similar acts will be dealt with more severely.

As per Registry Return Receipt No. 9456, respondent received a copy of the Decision dated 8 June 2016 on 12 August 2016, and in the Registry Return Receipt No. 15630, respondent received a copy of the Resolution dated 17 October 2016, which DENIED with FINALITY the respondent's motion for reconsideration on 1 March 2017.
