SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR'OF ATTY. JUSTO J. PARAS

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution of the First Division dated July 1, 2015 in Administrative Case No. 4947 (Rosa Yap Paras vs. Atty. Justo J. Paras), to wit:

Considering the affidavit of compliance dated March 25, 2015 (with enclosures) of respondent Atty. Justo J. Paras stating, among other matters, that he has served the suspension imposed upon him in the Resolution dated February 14, 2005, the Court resolves:

(1) to NOTE the aforesaid affidavit of compliance;

(2) to NOTE the complainant's comment/objections (with leave of court) to the said affidavit of compliance, and praying that respondent be sanctioned accordingly;

(3) to NOTE the respondent's supplemental submission for completion of affidavit of compliance (with prior leave of court) dated May 15, 2015;

(4) to NOTE the complainant's comment/objections (with enclosures) to the supplemental affidavit of compliance (with leave of court) dated May 17, 2015;

(5) to LIFT the order of suspension from the practice of law meted against respondent Atty. Justo J. Paras in the Resolutin dated February 14, 2005; and

(6) to ALLOW Atty. Justo J. Paras to RESUME his practice of law considering that he has already fully served his one-year suspension from the practice of law.
