SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF ATTY. WALTER R. CARANTES
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Resolution of the Second Division dated 09 June 2014 in Administrative Case No. 8179 [Formerly CBD Case No. 10-2782], entitled "Rosita Daliling et al. vs. Atty. Walter R. Carantes," to wit:
The Court RESOLVES to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommendations of the IBP Board of Governors in IBP Notice of Resolution No. XX-2013-215 dated 20 March 2013 (Annex "A") which adopted and approved with modification the report and recommendation of the Investigating Commissioner in the attached Report dated 15 June 2011 (Annex "B"). Accordingly, the Court SUSPENDS respondent for one (1) year from the practice of law for gross violation of the performance of his duty by falling short of the rigorous standard imposed upon those who sit in judgment against litigants.
