SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. REGINAL L. JOSE

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 31 January 2018 of the Special Third Division in Administrative Case No. 10696, entitled "Melinda P. Tiongson, represented by Primo S. Tiongson v. Atty. Reginal L. Jose," to wit:

The Court NOTES respondent's Sworn Statement dated December 14, 2017, stating that during the entire period of his suspension, he desisted from engaging in the practice of law for a continued and uninterrupted period of more than four (4) months up to the present and submitting certifications from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines CALMANA Chapter, and from the lower courts of Malabon City, Navotas City, Valenzuela City and Obando, Bulacan, all affirming that respondent has not engaged in the practice of law since June 23, 2017 to October 23, 2017.

Acting on the Report and Recommendation dated January 11, 2018 of the Office of the Bar Confidant , (OBC) on respondent's sworn statement dated December 14, 2017, submitting that respondent has fully served the four-month suspension from the practice of law for the period from June 23, 2017 to October 23, 2017, the Court, upon the recommendation of the OBC, resolves to LIFT the order of suspension from the practice of law imposed on Atty. Reginal L. Jose and ALLOW him to RESUME his practice of law.

The said report and recommendation of the OBC is NOTED.

Case is considered CLOSED and TERMINATED .
