SUBJECT: ATTENDANCE AT THE SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON STRENGTHENING THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN

The Philippine Judicial Academy (PhilJA), the Ateneo Human Rights Center, the Department of Justice and the Save the Children Fund-UK will jointly conduct a Seminar-Workshop on "Strengthening the Protection of Children" for, among others, Judges and Social Welfare Officers of the Regional Trial Courts handling cases falling within the jurisdiction of the Family Courts in Regions Six, Seven and Eight. The Seminar-Workshop shall be held on 5 and 6 November 1998 (Thursday and Friday) at the Cebu Grand Hotel, Escario Street, Cebu Capitol Commercial Complex, Cebu City.

The following Judges and Social Welfare Officers of the Regional Trial Courts in Regions Six, Seven and Eight shall attend the live-in Seminar-Workshop at Cebu City:

Attendance in the Seminar-Workshop is mandatory. Formal business attire is required.

Participants who are not from Cebu City can already check in at the Cebu Grand Hotel in the afternoon of Wednesday, 4 November 1998. All participants shall check out in the morning of Saturday 7 November 1998.

All travel expenses shall be reimbursed by the Ateneo Human Rights Center. Attendance in the Seminar-Workshop shall be on official business.

Registration of participants shall start at 7:30 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, 5 November 1998.
