SUBJECT : LIFTING OF SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW OF ATTY. EDGAR O. PALAY

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 13 December 2017 of the Special Third Division in Administrative Case No. 10150, entitled "Gina E. Endaya v. Atty. Edgar O. Palay," to wit:

The Court NOTES respondent's:

(1) Second Manifestation dated August 14, 2017, stating that there is no more legal impediment for the resumption of his practice of law as he had fully served the suspension imposed on him; and

(2) Compliance dated October 19, 2017, with the Resolution of July 19, 2017, submitting certifications from the Office of the Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court of Palawan and Puerto Princesa City and from the Office of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Palawan Chapter, affirming that respondent has ceased and desisted from the practice of law and has not appeared in court as counsel from December 7, 2016 to June, 2017.

Acting on the Report and Recommendation dated November 24, 2017 of the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) and considering the above-mentioned compliance of the respondent, the Court, upon the recommendation of the OBC, resolves to LIFT the order of suspension from the practice of law imposed upon Atty. Edgar O. Palay and ALLOW him to RESUME his practice of law.

The said report and recommendation of the OBC is NOTED.
