AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF THE JUSTICES OF THE SUPREME COURT, THE COURT OF APPEALS, SANDIGANBAYAN AND THE COURT OF TAX APPEALS, SELECTED OFFICIALS OF THE SUPREME COURT AT THE GLOBAL FORUM ON LIBERTY AND PROSPERITY

The Supreme Cour will hold a Global Forum in Liberty and Prosperity on October 18-20 2006 at the Shangri-la Makati Hotel in Metropolitan Manila, Philippines.

The Forum, in partnership with the World Bank, ADB, CIDA, Aus Aid, the Asia Foundation, ABA-Asia and the UNDP, seeks to examine the nexus between political liberty and economic prosperity as they relate to the judiciary, the legal profession and the academe. Participants of this Forum will include Chief Justices from foreign jurisdictions, international members of the Academe, international Bar Associations, foreign Business Chambers, representatives from the executive and legislative branches of government, Civil Society, Development Partners and the Diplomatic Corps.

In view of the foregoing, the following justices of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan and Court of Tax Appeals, Supreme Court officials, PHILJA officials and professors and members of the Judicial and Bar Council, Selected Executive Judges and Presiding Judges of 1st and 2nd Level Courts are authorized to attend the above activity:
