SUBJECT: CHANGE OF SCHEDULE AND THEME OF THE FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND SEMINAR OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COURT INTERPRETERS

This Office has been informed that the First General Assembly and Seminar of the National Association of Court Interpreters (NACI) shall be held from 7 to 9 December 2000 (Thursday to Saturday) — instead of from 16 to 18 November 2000 -- at the Teachers' Camp, Baguio City, with the theme "United Court Interpreters of the Philippines Towards Judicial Excellence." Members of the NACI who are interested are hereby authorized to attend this First General Assembly and Seminar on official time or on official business chargeable to local funds if offered and available.

The NACI shall comply with the provisions of (a) Section 12 of Republic Act No. 8557 establishing the Philippine Judicial Academy; and (b) PHILJA Memorandum Circular No. 1-99 on "Rules and Requirements pertaining to Inclusion of PHILJA Educational Programs in all Conventions/Conferences of Judges and Court Personnel." It is understood that the NACI shall inform the PHILJA of all definite and proper arrangements for the staff and lecturers thereof who shall be present at the First General Assembly and Seminar.

The President of the NACI shall submit to the Office of the Court Administrator within ten (10) days from tlie closing of the activity (1) a complete report on the activities undertaken during the same; and (2) copies of the registration and daily attendance sheets signed by the members actually present.

This issuance amends Circular No. 43-2000 dated 9 August 2000.
