SUBJECT : SUSPENSION FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR SIX (6) MONTHS OF ATTY. EDGAR NAVALES
For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the dispositive portion of the Resolution of the First Division dated 15 September 2014 in Administrative Case No. 10465 entitled "Spouses Lamberto V. Eustaquio and Gloria Eustaquio v. Atty. Edgar Navales," to wit:
The Court RESOLVES to ADOPT and APPROVE the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommendation of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in the attached Resolution dated February 8, 2011. Accordingly, the Court finds respondent Atty. Edgar Navales GUILTY of violating Canon 1, Rule 1.01 and Rule 1.01 and Rule 1.02 of the Code of Professional Responsibility and is, thus, meted with the penalty of SUSPENSION from the practice of law for a period of six (6) months, with a STERN WARNING that a repetition of the same shall be dealt with more severely.
