SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. FELICITO J. CERVANTES FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR AND SIX (6) MONTHS

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 7 February 2017 of the Court En Banc in Administrative Case No. 5408, entitled "Anita Santos Murray v. Atty. Felicito J. Cervantes," to wit:

WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Felicito J. Cervantes is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for one (1) year and six (6) months. He is ORDERED to restitute complainant Anita Santos Murray the sum of P80,000.00. For every month (or fraction) the he fails to fully restitute complainant the sum of P80,000.00, respondent shall suffer an additional suspension of one (1) month.

He is likewise WARNED that a repetition of similar acts shall be dealt with more severely.

In a Resolution dated 8 August 2017, the Court considered as SERVED the Notice of Judgment and Resolution dated 7 February 2017 to the respondent.
