SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. ONOFRE G. GARLITOS, JR. FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 31 August 2016 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 11297, entitled "Virgilio G. Liwanag v. Atty. Onofre G. Garlitos, Jr.," to wit:

WHEREFORE, respondent Atty. Onofre G. Garlitos, Jr. is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for one (1) year. He is WARNED that a repetition of the same or similar acts shall be dealt with more severely.

Respondent is ordered to restitute complainant Virgilio G. Liwanag the sum of P 140,000.00.

Respondent received the resolution on 28 October 2016.
