SUBJECT : SUSPENSION OF ATTY. DIONILO B. MANTOS FROM THE PRACTICE OF LAW FOR ONE (1) YEAR

For your information and guidance, quoted hereunder is the Resolution dated 8 March 2017 of the Second Division in Administrative Case No. 10137, entitled "Cynthia O'Keefe-Helms v. Atty. Dionilo B. Mantos," to wit:

WHEREFORE, the undated Motion for this Court to furnish respondent with an official copy of Resolution No. XX-2013-497 of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Board of Governors is DENIED for utter lack of merit

The Motion for Reconsideration dated July 5, 2016 is likewise DENIED for lack merit.

Respondent ATTY. DIONILO B. MANTOS is SUSPENDED from the practice of law for one (1) year. He is likewise WARNED that a repetition of similar acts shall be dealt with more severely.

The respondent, upon receipt of this Resolution, shall immediately serve his suspension. He shall formally manifest to this Court that his suspension has started, and copy furnish all courts and quasi-judicial bodies where he has entered his appearance, within five (5) days upon receipt of this Resolution. Respondent shall also serve copies of his manifestation on all adverse parties in all the cases he entered his formal appearance.

As per Registry Return Receipt No. 4833, respondent received a copy of the aforesaid Resolution on 18 May 2017.
