PUBLIC PENSION SYSTEM IN JAPAN FOR TECHNICALINTERN TRAINEES

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) informs the public that all residents of Japan (ages 20 - 59) including Technical Intern Trainees and regardless of nationality are obliged to be enrolled in the public pension system. The public pension system requires monthly contributions which provides assistance to the elderly and in cases of disability and death. Furthermore, listed below are the enrollment procedures for the Technical Intern Trainees regarding the public pension system:
