AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF COURT OFFICIALS, JUDGES, AND COURT PERSONNEL TO THE GENDER SENSITIVITY SEMINAR: VISAYAS CLUSTER
The Supreme Court recently approved a manual on conducting gender sensitivity training geared towards increasing the capacity of the courts in effectively handling cases related to gender offenses, and furthering its capability and image as fair, humane, and gender-sensitive units.
Under the Making Justice Work for the Marginalized Project of the Court, assisted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a new component on Gender Justice was approved under Output 2 -Activity 3 of the 2014 Annual Work Plan (AWP) of the Project. The component seeks to look into strengthening the capacities of the courts in handling gender-related cases such as VAW, human trafficking, abuse, and "sextortion".
